The week closes with wheat showing a slight decline below thy prioes reported lust Monday. Extra white wheat is Belling at $1.84 ; Ko. 1 white at $1.72; No. 2-white at $1.55 and amber at $1 48,-with a. very light supply. Very few sales. The reporta f rum the Southwest part of tbe State, where tbern has been but little rain teil. us that some grain is aheady in ehock. In. this part of the State it will tako full ten to ÍU'teen days to ripen the ■wheat. What wo have seen of the wheat promises to bo plump. and heavy in the berry. The stock of wheat now in store at Detroit is 66,461. Showing a decrease of 35,061 duiingthe week, with receipt of 15,715 or at tho rate of 2,500 bushels per day. The New York market is rathei dull, and priccs are steady, but with little buoyancy in tho trade which is still hampered for want of froight room. It is still claimed that Minnesota has a larga surplus of wheat thai is awaiting conveyauce by rail and water to market, and which, hangs over the trade and prevents any material chango in prices. The Agriouitural Department has publiahed a report of the condition of the cropg up to the middle of June, and which indicatos a very large production of wheat over last year. The promise of a large erop has had some effect in rendering buyers more cautious as they regard the market. at present with distrust, wheat being 20 cents per bushei bightr at this present date, than it was the corresponding dato of last year. American white wheat was quoted as eiling in the Liverpool market at l,'3s. to 141. .per cental, while the cable quotations have not been over 12h. 3d. Tho latest mail advices show that wheat and flour both in' Trance and England are itiff and rather inclined to advance than to fall off in priuo. " Both wheat and rj e," says the 'Marie, Lom E.iyres?, " i feit the unusual woather in Friitico., au'1 I in Paris. The flnur tr:i1r has rfcoverej thp late decline and is twofrtnoa d-arer.'"( The stock of foroign. whpat is also reportod as " getting into small eompass," and it seems that all tlie Ameiio.in wluMit that can be spared will be wantod. We look for a very close demand for the erop of new wlieat at an early date Hiis year from abrond. Tho erop in TCnfrland promises to be lat and the fixhaua tion of tho stock of foreign wheat will iusure eaily shipraents if only the vnsaels are on liand to afford room and transportation at reasonable rates. - Michigan F'armer.
