Tomlin, of Tonnesse, was adopted for the appointmnnt ot' a central committee of Iö, eomposod of iive from each State, with power to ajipoint sub-cominitees, to puro an aüüress ana m otuer w.-iys manifest the advantages of forming the pro posed new State, and inresting tho eomraitteo with power and diseretion to memorialize the Legislatures of the old States and Congress looking to the proper legislation necessary to ita foruiation. Further committees were appointed with referentie to the government of the present session of the convention and other minor details. Resohitions were offered by Mr. Polk, of Tennessee, setting forth tho advantages and fixing boundarits to the project, all of which were rcferred to appropnate coinmittees, and will be ruado Bubjeote of action totnorrow. The representation is largo and still arriving. Enthnsiam is high, and the pmpose single and unanimous. The was harmonions. Some of Germany's expelled Jcsnits are finding their way to the United States. About thirty or forty recently arrived in Xiv York City, and ruore are reported as ready to follow f rom timo to time. Two cars were thrown from the track of the Nashville división of the St. Louis & Southuasteru liailroad on Saturday night, wounding about lö persons, none dangerously.
