The quality shows that pasturage must be good throughout the State and that etoekers reserved for choico beef thrive very well. The sales were mostly conriued to medium grades, the choice lots being shippod eastward by holders who bought to makc a sliijiping complement. The local trade was vory lighfr, but few head being bought alter tho groat rush of the previous Sunday's market. Though markets in the East have boen precarious to buyers here there seemed no abatement in the desire to ship lots to points there. Extra choice lots were held at ?4 50 and $4 80. Choice lots, mixed grades, $4, and light, indifferent to ijuality, at $2 50 and $3. The former averaged in lots of twenty head 1,150; those held atii, ibout 1,000 lbs. hoos. Somo very choice Iota same in duriog the moruing's market, one espocially, secured by Wilson Fitziiatrick, were a crodit to tho State. Firms here aro securing a supply froin Chicago, but tho increaso oí Bhipmenta from the State will soou Bupply the demand. The market Mema easior, with an upward tendency, choico lots, averaging 301) lbs, brought $4 50a4 80 ; medium weight, 4 60. BHEEP. Tlnre was about the same activity and range of qualities, ivhich are throughout very credltablo. Eaeh year seems to bring a change for the better in Michigan sheep, that ia in a majority oí lucalities. Broeders seem to botter realize what grades thrive in their respective localities. Lots very choiee, averagiug 100 lbs, brought $i öOal 80 ; medium, -ti 1 30. Poorer Iota were aold by the head at $2 50a3. Kino's Cattle Yards, ) Detkoit, Honda; eveuing, Aug. IS. CATTLE. Thero were good liberal ofterings at these yards to-day, but the greater portion of thum were but littlo butter than stoekers, and sold slow. The best of them were but fair butchera' cattle. StíUerB claimed the market was off a 1-k1, but front salea rdportéd it was diflieult to determine. The range of1 qnotations ia about the same as last week.
