Froiu the Ueiroit Free Press. Kino's Cattle Yaeds, Detroit, Monday evening, Nov, 3. S The rapply of choice cattle was very light aud the decline of iast week was not improTed upon, tlie offermgs being princirjally of the akallewag class and liuyers were slow inj making their selections. For good cattle, however, there was no decline, but fuil last quotations were obtainable. We quote : Choice beeves, young, large, well fattened, weighing t'rom 1,200 to 1,400 lbs. f3 58 4 00 Good beeves, well fattened, steera and heifers, aveiaging 1,050 to 1,100 lbs, 3 00 a 3 50 Medium grades, fair steers, avêraging 9Ö0 to l,0;jü lbs., 2 50 a 3 00 Workmg cattle, well fattened, averaging 1,000 to 1,600 Ibs., 3 ■■' a 3 50 Cows, coinmou to choice, 3 00 a 3 25 Conunon stock, medium steera, and fair to extra cows, in decent ftesh, 800 to 1,000 lbs., 2 50 a 3 25 ïliin cattle, 2 25 a 2 50 MILCH COWS. There were only a few orfered this morning, but they were mostly of a better quality than the average shpwn at these yards. One good cow with calí was held at $55, and $50 was rel' used. Others were offered at $35a40. It is believed that the high price of hay will compel many to dispone of their cows during the month. SHEEP. The markot was apparently 5üc lower per 100 pouuds, and a fair number were closed out, mostly at an earlv hour. Sales ranged f rom 1.81 "to $3.50 per Iiead. HOOS. There is a liberal trade ín hogs, but they are mostly bought up by packers before reaching these yards. Pork having gone down and the hay and corn erop of the West being very liberal (except in Michigan), buyers are only offering within 50c per 100 lbs, of late figures. No sales were reported at the yards to-day.
