The conimittee aro of the opion that great reduction can bo made here. The only method of reaching this, Kowaver, will be to cut down the orders for printing. The estimates of the Congressional printer are based entirely upon probable orders of Congress. Notwithstanding the abolition of the franking privilege Congress has ordevod the usual editions of public documenta. A MEMüEB oí' Congress was tUoughtful unough a few days ago to propose a saving of gas at the capítol and ia the other public buildings. The gas of members should be included.
