Omaha, Fb. 10.- Tho following was received by Oen. Ord to-day frora Fort Laramifl by a uiessenger who has just returned trom tho agency : Doctor Saville, the agent, writes that tlie northern [ndians liavo all gone to Tonguu Hivor, and that they alone havo committcd the reuent dcpredations ; that Ogailallns havo faithfully guurded the agency since Frank Appleton was killed, and that they will prevent the northern [ndians from oomiug to the agency or passing through the country. lic also saya that tlie Indiana who shot Appleton were killed by tho lirules, who alno capcaptured the moles stolen by tho Minnecoujous from Charles Geuren. Agent Howard writes through Saville that Spotted Tail has a guard over his agency. The party who killed Lieutenant liobinson and his party consisted of Minne coujous, Muappapas and Sausarcos. Tvvo Lances and his band are supposod to be south of the Bouth Platte. Nothiug has been heard of them. Capt. Mill's eommand, which started after tho Indians, reported near Big Springs, Nebraska, has not been heard of. Liout! ltobinson's wife and his remains left Cheyenne to-day, bound East. O.MAHA, February 17. - The report telegraphed yesterday about Indians having attackod settlers at lied Willow, IN eb., provcs to bo untrue. Gen. Ord received a telegram f'rom Fort McPherson whioh says a mail carrier, just arrived from Eed Willow, reporta no alarm there and no attack ha3 been mado. Before receiving this a company oí' cavalry had been ordercd out to scout in that direction. A courior has been Sent to recall thora. To-day's news from the vicinity of Port Lammie is meagre, and indicates that the hostilities in the vicinity of lied Cloud's and Spotted Tail'a agencie's are not imminent. Mr. Connelly, in charge of his agency supply train, was killed on the 13th ; the train was saved. The attack was made near the Platte Biver. Frontiersmen continue coming in with their families, feeling unsafe. Private advices i'rom Red Willow up to yesterday morning say that no Indians have been seen, and there is no alarm whatever. Week before last a band of Indians robbed a camp beyond the head of Frenchman's Creek. The hunters followcd them up and recovered a part of the stolen property. A Choyenne Indian, who came into Port Fettermnn to-day froin the. agency, reports the killing of a son of " Roman Nose," on the South Platte, a short distancu from the mouth of Lodge Pole Creek. This is supposed to be the Indian whora the trapper, King, shot.
