Dr. McHenry, of Quebec, who spent the last suiumer in Laborador, writes to tho Arduzlogical Weekly that ho found many important evidences of tho presence of the Northmon in thut península, on the banks of the River Moisle and in the regions frequented by the Montagnais and Nasquapee Indians. One cairn in particular, the stones of which were so heavy as to defy the nssaults of Indians or bears, ho forced open with gunpowder, and found in it a gigantic huïnan skull, breast-plate and brass-bound shield. The breastplate though much rusted, bore signs of au inscription or legend, failing to decipher whioh he sent it to Copenhagen to see if it oould be made out by the American archffiologists thoro.
