In Lodi, July Hth, of consuraption, Mary A. Van Gieson, aged 30 years 10 months and 4 day.s. In this citv, on the 16th inst., William P. Burroughs, in the 67th year of hia age. He was a stage proprietor and mail contractor in Wisconsin and western Illinois for uiany years, before the age of railroads in that country, and spent the active portion of nis life in that business, until lis health failed. lie carne to Ann Arbor with his farally froni Janesville, Wisconsin, about two years ago, and bas long been in feeble health. He feil froni a ladder upon whieh he was standing to piek cherries, and survived only about an hour and a half after the fall. He was an honest, conscientious Christian man, a meniber of the Baptist Church, and tas been an active and intelligent business man. He was a kind, affectionate, and devoted hu3band and father, and has left a wife and daughter, son-in-law and grand child to mourn his sudden death. His renains have been taken to Janeaville for interment.
