Big ostates sometimos wilt down very fast, and this is notably true of the estate of the late Priuce of Erie, otherwise Jitu Pisk. Shortly after Pisk's deatb, three years ago, an inventory of his estato made out a fortune of close on a luillion dollars. A statement is uow made public which shows that if all the claims against the estáte are allowed there will be actually a deficit of noarly $200,000, instead of a fortune to tho widow. The heayiest of the claims is that of Albort Spege.r, of "Black Friday" fame, for $547,000. The next largest is that of Josephine Munsfiold for $5",000. Miss Mansfiold has just obtained a verdict against Fisk's estáte for nearly half this amount. The lawyers have already collected $36,000 as their share of the general plunder. Mrs. Fisk has acted veiy honorably in settling claims as tast as property could be converted. It seems highly probable that when all is closed up she will not have a doll;vr of the million left by her husband. Sixteen and a half million pounds of orude bullion have been shipped trom Eureka, Nevada, in the last twelve raonths. 8ome of it has been sent to San Francisco, some to Omaha, and some further east.
