Stolen Horses
-It will be rememlered that about two and a halà years since Mr. Fred. Hutzell, of Pittsñeld, had a span of horses stolen froin his barn. Thorough searoh was immediately made for the detection of the thieves, but witliout avail, and all efforts to recover the horses were long since abandoned. About two weeks since Mr. Hutzell received a letter f rom a gentleman at Michigan City, Ind., asking what he would pay for the return of the team, and no questions asked, and mviting an interview. Mr. Hutzell, went to Michigan Citv last weck and met his correspondent, who was acting as agent ior a conviot in the State Prison at tliat place, in company with whom he weut to the prison and had an interview with the prisoner, who gave a thorough descriptiou of the horses, and was familiar with taking of them, but deuied being one of the thisves. The prisouer claimed to know the wheieabouta of the horses, and agreed to have them returued to the owuer for the the sum of $50, and no questiona asked, which was agreed to, the team to be in as good condition aa when taken, age excepted.
