- The members oí the Literary Department re enjoying a two weeks' vacation. - Frederic H. Gerrish, M. D., Professor of 'herapeutics, Materia Medica and Physiology, esigned his positiou in the Mudicul Department, ou Tuesday last. - Uniyersity Hall was filled Sunday evening y citizens and students to hear Rev. Dr. Fower, President of the Northwestern University, who delivered au address before the Students' hristian Assooiation. He took for his text : lom ans, eighth chapter and 14th verse. - Ou Saturday evening a large number of ie graduating Law class, proceded by Gwiner's band, marched through sorae of the prinipal streeta. They afterwards serenaded Proessor Cöoley at his residence, when the young entlemen were invited in, and after listening ;o a short address trom the Professor, they soon fter dispersed to their respective homes. - The following speakers have been apointed for the June Commenceinent : Miss O. . L. Anderson, Mansüeld, O. ; Messrs. J. M. larrett, Ariington, 111. ; Lorenzo Davis, Jr., Ann Arbor ; Bronson C. Keeler, Chicago ; eróme C. Knowltou, Ann Arbor; James B. McMahon, Manchester, Mich. ; A. J. McGowan, Hamilton, Mich ; L. C. McPherson, Decatur, IU. ; J. W. Parker, Grand Blanc, Mich. ; J. J. Stoddart, Columbus, ü. - Tuesday moruing the member6 of the graduating class of the Law Department, held a meeting in the lecture room, when they decided to hold a re-union of the class in March, 1880. The following officers were chosen for the occasion: President, G. M. Stark; First Vice President, Chas. P. Huey ; Second Vice President, Alexander Sampson ; Secretary, E. K. Frueauff ; Orator, Barton Smith ; Altérnate, Leroy H. White ; Poet, Mary F. Perry, altérnate, Henry Ruasell ; Historian, Lester McLean.
