Kitridge ior privilege of laying water ipes on tíecond and Catharine etreets, from llen's croek to his pre mises. Granted. COMMUNICATIONS. From City Marshal, nominating John G. ohnson for deputy marshal and policeman. Jonfirined. EEPOKTS OF COMMITTEES. Street - Aid. Ferdon reported reeommeuding the building of a uow stone bridge over the oreek ïu the Third ward, on the new street between Hurpn street and Miller Avenue ; ior repairs tb bridge over Allen's creek, on Felch street; tor new stone abutments to sidewalk bride on Main street, near Jail ; for uecessary repairs to the three bridges over the Huron river. Accepted and adopted. Pólice- Aid. Kiug reported rules for the govurnment of pólice. Accepted aud adopted. Fire Department -Aid. Gardner reported reeommeuding the purchase of a new hand engin, hose, hose cart, ladders, etc. Accepted. BEPOBTS OF CITY OFFICERS. On motion of Aid. Bishop, Aid. King was appointed committee to have pólice rules printed. B. F. Sanford, Chiof Engineer of Fire Department, made verbal report ou wanta of departments. Aid. Bishop moved the appointment of a coratuittee of three, to asc.ertain coBt of a new ftre engine, with authority to muke a purchase. After consideralile discusaion, the matter was, on motiou of Aid. Kiug, laid upon the table until next meeting. Aid. King pratented au amended ordinance relative to cattle, etc, running at large. Adopted. I'ublished m another column. On motion of Aid. Seabolt, the Recorder was directed to draw warrants for firemen. Aid. Rogers moved the appoiutinent of a committe of three to settle with late Treasurer , Dor Kellogg. Caried, and Aid. Rogers, Bishop and Besimer appointed such committee. On motion of A!d. Besiraer, the City Attorney was appointed committee to settle with late City Marshal. Adjourned.
