Zion Church

■At a meeting of the First numeran society ol Ann Arhor, luesday evening, the organization was perfecter! by the adoptton of the necessary papers as required by the State laws. The Society numbers already 155 members, and with unusual prosperity at this early day have raised by subscription upwards of $1,000 more than is necessasy to pay for the church property and contents. A large addition will be made to this, it is expected, as a number of new members have signed nothing yet. A committee appointed at previous meeting still have the matter of improvement upon and within the church under consideration. Rev. F. Belser, President of the Ohio Synod and Director of the University at Columbus, Ohio, has received the unanimous cali for the position of pastor of the Society. Services will be held next Sunday at 10.30 a. m., by Rev. Wm. Schlenker, of Toledo. Sunday School will conimence Sunday, Aug. 22.
