The Kingston Frecman prints the f ollowing: A gentleman went to New York the other day to order aome frames lor several pictures he had at home. Selecting the moulding ho wished the frames made from, he gave the necessary directions, and while so doing the length of moulding reqnired carne into dispute, when the gentleman learned that allowance must be made for corners in cutting frames. Not understanding the whole matter, however, and thinking this would leave a number of pieces that, as he paid for them all, he might as well have himself, he directed the frame dealer to send the corner pieces up with the frames, and then took his departure. A few days ago the frames arrived, and attached toeach one was a smallpackage containing the corner pieces, but the gentleman was much surprised at finding them infinitesimal parts that could be of no uae whatever. Furthermore, also attached to each frame was a little paper packet, upon opening which the gentleman iound it to contain the sawdust made in sawing the moulding iuto the required shape. Ween a man in the act of showing oft thoroughbred mulé to a party of admiring friends is persuaded by the sudden movement of the animal's bind legs to describe a series of somersaults through the air, it is always a sb]ect of lively interest to the spectator how he will avoid the absurdity of landing od his head.
