In (he darknegs and storm of last Sunday night, quite a severe mishap befell Mrs. L. H. Jones. With her husband and daughter she had attended the Episcopal church, but while proceeding homeward the three became separated. The young lady baviug etrayed away into the middle of Main etreet, Mr. Jones went iu pursuit of her, and Mrs. Jones. suriDOsine they were ahead of her, ran to overtake them. About the same time Frank Smith came out ol his house and started on a run down street. They met oppoaite Dr. Ewing's barn, and Mrs. J. was thrown violently down, striking on lier head. Frank was thrown against the barn, somewhat astouished, but quickly rallied and pioked the lady up. She wal not able to speak, but Mr. Jones coming up discovered her identity and the two asisted her home. A physician was sent f or and it was ascertained that the fall had affeoted her spine. She has now nearly recovered. - Dexter Leader, Feb. 18.
