Omaha, Neb., Mareh 19.- Pfissenger trains due trom the west yesterday and to-day will arrive to night. Passen gers from the west state tliat the snow fall between here and California is far greater than has been known tor miuiy years past, that it covers alruost the en tire country. In many places the roadbed is from 10 to 20 feet below the top of the snow, and that it has required alraoRt superhurnan cffoi ts to keep the roads open at all. Most of this snow has fallen within the pust month. Seven inches of snow feil here last nighl and to-day and is stil! falliúg with a oold northwest wind. Telograni8 from poiuts throughout the Northwest indicate that the two days' storm ending last night, was the most widely extended th-it visited this section for months. Telegraph poles and wires have been prostrated in every direction ; streams hace rigen in u'early every locality and in some instanoee have overrlown ; snow has fallen from two to six inches in dopth and the wind ba8dono some damage, though no casualties are reported.
