The Commercial office was visited yesterday by Samuel E. ö. Nixon, the " infant watchniaker," in charge of his grandfather, Mr. Edward Gilliam, of AUegheny. The child is only two yeavs and sevon moiiths oJd, and lias developed most remarkablo mechanical skill and doxterity for oneof his tender years. His grandfathor is one of the oldest watchmakers in tho counti-y, and it was at his boneh tlint the child first exhibited his ijrococity. By very little training, he leained tho name and use of overy tooi, and he can now take apart and readjvxst tho works of a watch, putting every pin and whcel in its proper place. Tho operation was performed in this office, uuder Üie directionof Mr. Gilliam, in tho pre8onco of a number of spectators, much to their surprise and gratification.
