Couldn't Stand Our Climate

An Esquimaux family lives near Fort Trumbull, New London, Oonn. The captain of the Polaris brought them down f rom their Arctic home a few years ago. Of eleven who originally composed the family six have died and three have returned, leaving only Ebebing and 1 kilitoo, whose Enghsh ñames aro Joseph and Hannah. They suffer much frem cold, having changed their fur clothing for American wear, which, they say, is full of holes that let the wind through.
