Democratie State t'onrrnlioii. We have appointed Wednesday, the 9th day of August next, at noon, as the time, and Whitney's Opera House, Detroit, as the place fúr huldiug a Democratie State Convention for the purpose of nonilnating candidates for State officers aud Klectors for President and Vice-Piesident of the United States, and for the transaction of such other business as may corue before It. Each county will be entitled to four delegates to each Representative to which, under the laat apportioninent, it is entitled in the lower branch of the State Legislature : but each organized county will be entitled to at least two delegates. A Democratie County Convention will be held at the Court House, In the City of Ann Arbor, on SATURDAY, AUGUST 5, 187C, at 11 o'clock a. M., to elect twelve delegates to a State Convention to be held at Detroit on the 9th day of August; also tvrelve delegates to the Congresslonal District Convention ; also for the appointment of a new County Committee ; and also to consider a proposition to reapportion delegates to future Conveutions aiuoug the several towuships and wards. The delegates froin the towns and wards comprising the several Representative District will also be requested to appoint District Committees. A cordial invitation is extended to Liberal, Conservativos, and all others, without regard to pravious party affiliations, who are opposed to the extravagance aud corruption of the Republican party, to particípate in the primarles held to elect delegates.
