-Rev. Mr. Hollister, of Cheboygau, wil! preach in the Congregational Church next Sunday. - Kev. Mr. Jackson, of Peterboro, N. H., will preach in the Uuitarian Churoh ojo Sunday next, forenoon and evening. - Eev. B. D. Parker, of Manhattan, Kansas, occupied the pulpit of the Congregational Charch of this city on Sunday last. - The Presbyterian Church at Ypsilanti hascalled the Rev. J. M. Richniond, of Columliu!, Ohio, who has been acting as temporary lapply to the satisfaction of church and congrega tion. - Rev. Richard Hudson, the temporary pastor itthe M. E. Church of this city, preached lus tofediscourses on Sunday Jast, making a favontíe ioipression on the meager number of iarers who proved taithful church-goers deipitethe prevailing storm. -Eev. Russell B. Pope, of the Central Ohio Conference, for the iast year or more stationed at Delaware, Ohio, and prior to that at St. Paui's Church, Toledo, has been traualerred to the Detroit Conference, and appointed by Bishop Ames to the M. E. Chrch of this city. He is spoken of as an able minister. It is expected that he will arrive in our city on Wednesday uext, and enter upon duty the following Sunday. The Rev. Mr. Hudson will offici&te the next Sunday, and then go and libor in some other field, - uot kuown to him yet. - At a meeting of the Cougregational Society held on Mouday evening last, Rev. Mr. Hubbell gave notice that he should tender his nsignation as pastor on the last Sunday of this month, and requested the society to take thenecessary steps in advance to fill the pulpit, A committee was appoiuted for that purpose. Itis proper to say that 'Mr. Hubbell's resignatiou is caused by the state of his health which tompels him to forogo for a season all mental labor. During his period of service with this church Mr. Hubbell has endeared himself to the memborship and congregation and won the confidence and respect of our community at large, and the regret that he finds it necessary to sever his pastoral relations ii general.
