Pole Raising

-On Thuraday afternoon ol last week a fine hickory was raised at Mooreville. Hon. Chauncey Joalin made a telling speech to an audience of several hundred. The Damooracy oí that section are wideuwake. On Friday last a pole was raiaed at Webster's Coruers in Augusta. Messrs. Whitman, Young, and Woodrutï, of Ypsilanti, were present and told some homely Democratie truths. Last Saturday afternoon a hickory rjole was raised at Strawberry Lake. Col. Burleigh, of this city, Hou. E. B. Winaus, of Brightou, aud 0. M. Woodruff, of Ypsilanti, were the speakers. Messrs. Burleigh and Harnman went to Walsh's Corners, in Northfield, yestereay afternoou to Bpeak at a pole raisiug. We wish that our friends would give us notice of .meetiugs held or to be held.
