Two hnmaii bodies, tightly fastened together by rnenns of a strong cord,were, recently taken from the river Seïne at KoTien, in Franco. Tliey were those of a youug man of 20, named Henri Domiuois, and a muiden of 18, named Eliza Dupre, his sweetlieart. Henri was the son of M. Domiuois, who oucupies a good position in life, and Eliza was a simple work-girl, pretty and honest, with whom he feil desperately in love. A letter found in the pocket of the young man told in a few plain words tho.ir short but tragifi story. "Our parents," said this little manuscript, " would not allow us to marry, and we resolved to perinli together in order that we niiglit not be separuted in paxadiee." The bodies had remained in the river from Maivh 0, when the two young people disappeared from tlieir respective homes.
