From Baker, Davis & Co., Pladelphia, we havo four more numbers (37-40) of the revised edition oí Zell's Popular Encyclopedia and Universal Dictionary. Number 37 opens with " Lapidescence " and number 40 ends in the paper on " Massachusetts." Besides, there is a supplement to the letter ' L," of six pages, giving a long list of new or omitted names of places; biographical notioes of persons who have become prominent since the issue of the prior edition ; and articles on new disooveries in science, new inventions, etc. As a biographical dictionary and geographical gazetter Zeil is very f uil, while the investigator into historical and scientific topics is given the kornol and put on tract of the books in which he can pursue his researches to his fullest deeires. To be completed in 64 numbers at 50 cents each. Yesterday we opened one of.our Township Ab stract Books and found on twelveconsecutive pages ninety-six State or Auditor-General Deeds, inaking an average of eight of such deeds to the page, or to each 80 acre lot of land. It will be remembered tbat such deeds are not found in tbe chain of title from the United States Government, as a new and independant title title crops out at each and every new Auditor-General Deed.
