Sheriff of Idaho County, Iüaho, and brother of Sheriff Case, of this cuuuty, writeu under date of July 3d to hia brother at Manchester, and from whioh letter we are permitted to quote : " On my return home last night I found your letter of June 4. I have been out for the last two weeks tightiug Indiana. We are having a rough time of it. The Indiana broke out here on the 14th uit. They have murdered men and children and raviBhed the women, burnt houBes and fences, and driven off all the stock that they could find. I do not think our war will last more than two weeks longer. We have about one thousand soldiers aud volunteers in the field at the preaent time."
