We hope that a uumber of Akqus delinquents heard it. - Rev. Kichard Cordley, of Flint, is to preach iu the Congregational Church in Webster on Sunday next. - Ou Suuday last the ïemperauce society of St. Thomas Church received the hoiy Oommuuiou, and in tne eveniug a f50 check from Father Van Erp. -The holiday festival of the Sunday School conuected with St. Andrew's Chuurch was held on Frklay eveniug last, and a gooii timu reporteJ. -The " Week of Piayer" will be observe.l by tha seveial uhuruhes of this city, reeognuing the Evaugelical Alliance, cooimeucing on Sunday next with services in the several churches. Ech week day afteruoou (Monday and Saturday excepted) at 3 o'clock, services will be held alternately in the Baptist, Presbyteriau, Methodist and Oougregatioual churches, and each evening iu the several churches separately. The programine of subjects was recaived too late tor insertion. - On Sunday eveuing next Rev J. H. Allen, of Cambridge, Mass., who has beeu for some months aupplying the pulpit of the Unitarian Church, will commence a series of discourses on "Orthodoxy," the dates and subjects of which will be as follows : 1. Jauuaiy 6, Introductory : "What is Orthodoxy ï" 2. Jauuary 13, "General Objections." 3. January 20, "The Tiiuity." 4. January 27, "The üeity of Christ." ö. February 3, "The Vicarious Atouement.1' ü February 10, "Depravity of Human Nature." 7. February 17, "Eternal Puuishnient." 8. February 24, "Sciipture Iufallibility." 9. March 'i, "Orthodoxy as it Was and as it Is." 10. March 10, "Liberal ühristiauity." -The subject tor the Bi ble class at the Unitariau Church at 9:30 a. m. next Sunday, is the "Three Schools of Christian Doctrine."
