The seaboard pipe-line to run from ïutler, Pa., to Baltimore, is reported ure to be built during the coming eason, the entire right of way having een obtained, and lands purchased for eflneries and barrel manufactories on Jaltimore harbor. The distance whieh ihe line is to run is 230 miles. The folowing particulars as to its construction are given : The pipes will be four and a half feet below the surface of the jround. They -will be made of boilerron, lap-welded and galvanized, so as to e impervious to the action of the oil, and not rust. The line to Baltimore is designed to be a trunk line, with connections from the Pennsylvania terminus and from different points on the route. lts transporting capacity will be ; 000 barrels per day, and it will opérate ncessantly, day and night. The quanily proposed to be taken to Baltimore an'nually is about 2,000,000 barrels of crude oil. The company will proceed with the work immediately after the close of the winter, and expect to have he line laid the entire distance during iho coming summer. There are rumors ;hat the Standard Oil Company will lay a competing line.
