At Kalamazoo on baturday last a verdict of $6,000 was giveu in the Circuit Court against Suit. Van Deuseu, of the Insano Asylum, at the suit of a Mrs. Newcoruer, of Chicago : alleged illegal iiuprisonruunt and oialpractico. Au appoal will ba made to the Supremo Court. Charles Woodman, convicted in Berrien County in 1875, on a charge of polygainy, and sontenced to the Btate Prison at Jackson for five years, has been pardoned by Gov. Croswell.
