The English crown diamonds have arrivcd at the Paris Exposition, and are valued at $8,500,000. They are in a thick iron chest, and are guarded by Bentinels day and night. There is a diadem of eighty-six diamonds of various sizcs, iu the middítí of which is tho celebrated Koh-i-Noor, nlone valued it $380,000; also n collar of 108 diumonds, in tho center of which is an emeraW, said tobe the pnrest and most beautiful extant. A second diadem is a blending of diamonds and emeralds. In tho center is the laige Kandavassy diamond, valued at $600,000. It wonid be rated at a higher sum rere it not for a slight defèot These, and many ot'iior valnables of the kind, belongtotlie English crown. A portiou are usecl by the Princesa of Wales on special occasions; the others are rescrvcd for tho Queen. The Kaudayassy was forrnerly the oye of a oneeyed Hindoo d:ity, and has been bul lately added to the collection.
