Oq i riday last the agreeraent or articles ot consolidaron of the Toledo and Ann Arbor aud Toledo and State-hue Eailroads wero filed in the office of the Socretary of State, at Lanaing, aud ou Saturday the first election for ofüoers of the Consolidated coinpaiiy was held in thia city. Directora were elected as follows : James M. Asnley, James M. Ashley, Jr., Heury W. Ashley, of Toledo ; Israel Hall, A. W. Hamilton, Joseph T. Jacobs, Henry C. Waldron, of Aun Arbor ; and J. Burolaky.- U. W. Doty & Son's store was euterod by a burglar oa Taeaday night and about $25 or $30 worth of goods taken, consisting of boots, shoes, etc. Ho firt went iato the cellar from the rear, aud tried to lift the trap door, but could uot. He then effected au entrance by raising the back window. The money drawer was broken open.but the thief was not rewarded by that act,as the filthy lucre had all been taken out oxcopting a uiarkod piece of silrer, which was not taken. The movenients of the burglar are similar to those of the one who broke into Doty's about a year ago. A number of chisels which were found near the store were identified by Ed. O'Neal as liis, and upon going to liis shop on Ann Arbor street, he found where the burglara had entered his shop. One or two suspicious chaps have been "shadowed," and tho oflicers may get hold of the scoundrels yet.- Manchester Enterprise, May 23.
