- At the session ot the Umtariau State Conference held ut Charlotte last week, Prol Charles E. Greeue, of this city, was electec President for the ensuing year. The next session will be held at Kalamazoo. - Rev. Samuel W. Duffield, lormerly pastor of the Presbyteriau Church of this city, was iustalled on the 7th inst. as pastor of the becond Presbyterian Church of Altoona, Pa The chorge to the pastor was given by his father, Rev. George Dufñeld, of Lansing. - Ou Thursday evening of last week Rev. Dr. Brown, of the Presbyteriau Church of this city, gave the Syuod at Adrián a sermón on "The Relation of Baptizad Children to the Church." - Manchester Enterprise : " We learu that Rev. E. P. Guodrich has resígned his pastorale of the Presbyterian Church of this village, and that the church society have accepted the resignatiou. We understand, however, that Mi'. Goodrich will not move away from here before spring. - Bishop Borgess, nccompanied by VicarGeneral Hennaert and several other priests, will dedicate the new Catholic Church in Northfield on Suuday next, at 10 o'clock a. m. At 4 o'clock p. m. the Bishop will consécrate the Catbolic Cemetery in ihis city, preaching the cousecratiug sermón on the grouuds. - At tho closing session of the Jackson Conference (Cougregatioual) on Tuesday evening. Prof. M. L. D'üoge, of the University, was ordained. The ordination sermón was preached by Rev. J. Morgan Smith, of Grand Rápida. - Rev. Mr. Turk, of Plymouth, will preach in St. Johu's Church (Lutharau), Northfleld, uext Sunday. - The pulpit of the M. E. Chureh was O3cupied last Sunday evening by the Rev. MrJones. - Dr. Cocker will preach ín the Baptist Church next Sunday morning.
