A Chicago wholesale grocery house, which a few years ago carried sixteen drummers at an expense of $40,000 per annum, and did an almost profitless business, has abandoned the drummer system, spends one-fourth tlieir cost annually in newspaper advertising, dividing the balance imong cuntomers.
