The Khedive of Egypt, a few weeks ago, preseuted an Englisli gentleman with a mumrny. The recipiënt was much pleased with tlie present, and, wishing to know of whose body he was possessed, employed two Egyptologists to det'ipher the liieroglypiiies on the outer case. They both of them declared the writing to be tlie ppitapii of a great King who lived ome thousands of years ago. After the, discovery, it was thought the opening of the paekage would perhans reveal something that would be of grêat historieal value, and many eniïnent men were invited to the nnwinding, which progressed favorably tffitfl toward the close, when the mumroy was foimd to be ttat of a wonian.
