Washtenaw Agricultural Society

The executiva committee of the Washteuaw Agricultural and Horticultural society met at Firemen's hall, ou Saturday. It was decided on inotiou of C. H. Riuhinoud, to hold monthly meotings for the discussion of agricultural topics, aud for the geueral iiuprovement of farmiug. The fhst meeting will be held on the last Saturday of Jauuary. A committee consisting of J. J. Parshall, C. II. Bichmoud, E. H. Scott, and B. Green, was appoiuted to make the necessary arrangements. A business committee consisting of Sampeon Parker, J. S. Headerson, _!. H. Kichmond, G. A. Peters and J. J. Kobisou, wai also appointed. A committee, composed as tollows was appoiuted to revise the premium list : Sampsou Parker, W. H. Arnold, John Coylo, E. T. Walker, G. A Peters, C. H. Kichmond, J. V. N. Gregory, James Rash, and Joseph Saunders. The matter of holding a fair next year was somewhat discussed. A motion muJe by J. J. Parshall to the effect that the society hold a fair, beginning the last Tuesday in September, and continuiug fourdays, was first carried and then recousidered, aud it was decided to talk the matter over with the membera of the Ypsilanti Society betore coming to any fiual arrangement. During the two past years the two societies have alternated, the Ypsilautiaus holding a fair a year ago, and the Washtenaw County Agricultural society, this year. It remains to be seen if thi arrangement shall be continued. There seems to be a stroug feeling iu favor of holding a fair here next year. The following committee was. however appointed toconfer with the" Ypsilantiana : Sampson Parker, C. H. Richmond, J. S. Hendersonj J. S. Hicks and G. A. Peters.
