Raymond and Ellen ( )sgood 1 f$g ievr and sister, were recently hanged in Liberty county, Ga., for the murder of Sam Gauldin. On the night of Oct. 12 Gauldin went to the honse of Simon Osgood to inqnire about a debt wfifch he owed Osgood, and which Osgood had given to a constable to collect. There was a dispute, and Simón Osgood, with three of his sons and a grown daughter, beat Gauldin with sticks, fence rails and i a hoe. He died the next day. Two of the sous, Henry and Raymond, are grown men ; the other, James, is a youth of 13 years ; the girl, Ellen, is about 19. Henry escapod, but all the others were I arrested and tried. The oíd man, Simón, i was found guilty of voluntary manslaughter, and sentenoed to twenty years in the penitentiary ; Raymond and Ellen were convicted of murder and sentenced to bo lianged, and James, convicted of involuntary manslaughter, was sentenced to one year in the penitentiarv.
