- Prof. Frescott gave the senior Pharmies a very pleasant reception last Friday evening. - Ex-Gov. Blair of Jackson, is to addreH the senior law class at the Marcb commencement. - Prest. Angeli's lectures on " International Law" attracts a large number of Law fltudents. - The senior law class numbers 105 persons, the largest evergraduated trom tho law departinent. The Glee Club are now making arrangements to give a concert in Grand Eapids and at Toledo. At the solioitation of the senior class the entire faoulty of that departtuent will sign their diplomas. Miss Bessie Eglesfield of Grand Rapids, LH. '76, Law '78 has been spinding a few days with friends here. Rob't. D. Updegraft, class '69 law, was not long sinco elected Judge of the Polioe Court of Cleveland, Ohio. Messrs. Dean and Cooper of the Philadelphia Medical college, are ing frieuds in the Law Department. - J. J. Gill, class 'G8 luw, is now proprietor and manager of the celebrated Acme Glass Works at Steubenvillc, O. The joint meeting of the Webster and Jeffersonian Literary societies last eveuiug was a very pleasant entertainment. - Henry M. Cheever of Detroit, addressed the members of the law departmentSaturday. Anumber of the town's poople were also present. - Tho Students' Lecture Assooiation havo oompleted au engagement with Prof. David A. Swing of Chicago, for the olosing lecture of the courae. -S. S. Hamell, A. M. author of " The Science of Elocutiou" visited the Law Department yestetday for the purpose of organiziug a class in Elooution. - The senior law class in addition to the usual final examination, will have a short written one, as muoh to see how they handle the English lnnguage as any thing elsu. - Prof. Adams commonced his course of leotures, last Tuesday, on the"Kise of Piussia." His course of lectures are always well received judging from his crowded recitation room, by citizens as well asstudentsfrom othor düpartment. Xho Mondelssohn Quintette club of Boston will give the last concert in the Univoreity course this Friday eveniug the 28th. The club has giveu conoerts ofthehighostorderfortwenty-nineyears and are as popular as ever. All lovers of fine musio justly look tor the best concert of the year. Rood, Pather. - Last Monday evening a plaa was adopted for canvassing each department of the University, with an endeavor to increase the membersbip of the Athletic A8sociation. The meuibership is one dollar. All moneys raised by this ineans, by entertainments, etc, is to be put into the handa of a trust company, composed mostly of professors. The lOth annual re-union of Kent 1 Chapter Phi DeltaPhi Society took place ' Fridav evening. There was a good ' tendance of the old alumni. The addresg of welcome was made by B. Frank . Bower class of '78, and a resident member of the fratemity. There were the usual toasts and responsos. The f olio wing officers were elected for the ensuing year : G. W. C. George H.
