Record Crowd Views Parade: The largest crowd ever to witness a parade in Washtenaw county -- estimated at more than 60,000 -- lined Cross and Adams St. and Michigan Ave. in Ypsilanti yesterday as American Legion Post 282 presented its annual Fourth of July parade. Typical of the some 25 marching units was the Ypsilanti High School Boys' Marching Band, pictured here. Legionnaires cancelled yesterday afternoon's slated Waterworks Park appearance of an Ohio girl's drill unit, Cochrane's Majorettes, after a few of the group fainted from the heat immediately following the parade march.
