Fall In West Kills City Man
Bruce Lester Bartman, 18, a U-M pre-law freshman and the son of Dr. and Mrs. Frederick L. Bartman of 2417 Buckingham Rd., died Saturday in a Fresno, Calif., hospital of injuries suffered in a fall at Yosemite National Park. His father is U-M professor of aerospace engineering and of atmospheric and oceanic science. Prof. Bartman also is director of the aerospace engineering department's High Altitude Laboratory. According to word received here, Mr. Bartman was with a group of young people observing the Bridal Veil Falls in the park when he slipped on some wet moss and fell over a cliff onto some rocks below.
