Firecracker removed by police
Dexter school superintendent John Hansen discovered an M-80 - described by Washtenaw County Sheriff's deputies as a large firecracker - on the sidewalk in front of his 5th Street home early Friday morning. Hansen called the sheriff's department, which removed the M-80. According to Hansen, there were no indications of a threat. He guessed that it was the work of pranksters.
