YPSILANTI—Seven bids were received on the renovation of Perry School yesterday by the Board of Education.

The bids, which contained numerous alternates, were turned over to the architect, R. S. Gerganoff, for study to determine which firm submitted the lowest over-all bid for work to be done. Business Manager Donald H Porter reported.

A low base bid of $13,000 was submitted by the Minon Construction Co., of Ypsilanti, but Porter explained, when alternates are considered this offer may not be the lowest bid for work to be done.

Bids were also received from Herman Atkinson and C. D. Grady & Son of Ypsilanti, and from the Heiss Construction Co., Kurtz Building Co., R. E. Davis Construction Co. and Perry Construction Co., all of Ann Arbor.

The board will consider the bids at its January meeting. The renovation project includes dividing the two-story gymnasium into two floors, plus modernization of original classrooms and lavatories.
