FebruarylS. - In the senate a renionstrance was pri'sfiileil against attacbing Genesee county to the sixth judicial circuit, also 26 remonetrancee with 4,600 names against the pnssage of a piohibition amendincnt to the cqnstitution. Mr. Dpeon introduced a joint resolution tor the issue of a patent of school lands to W. H. Harïis, and Mr. Aiubler a bilí for an appropriation tor tlie reform school for girls. In the house Mr. Ball, speaker pro tem., occupied the chalr. A number of petitions were received. including four for the passage of a prohibitory aniendment to the constitution and three for the retention of the present system. No bilis were introduceü, but 40 or 50 uotices were given.
