More science is rpqu'tred in properly loading hay on the wagons than is cotnmonly suppo3ed. While the best loaders of hay may be ignorant of the scientiflc principies bearing upon their occupation, yet they are not ignorant of their practical application. The corner of the load should receive the rlrst attention, a good large forkful at each corner, then one or more forkf uls between the corners, as the case may require, front and behind one wouid be enuugh, two or three on the sides. It does not fallow that each of the four corners is to receive its forkful before the sides are built up, but one important matter should not be neglected - that of taking off the load in the reverse order of its being loaded. In order to do this successfully the party loading the team should have a regular order or system of laying his load ; then the task of taking it off becomes an easy one. This suggestion will apply whether the unloading is performed with a norse fork or a hand fork. If the loader changes the corner at which he commenees to load wiili every trip, his memory may not serve him f rom fleld to mow, but if he makes it an invariable rule to commence either at his right or left hand then filliug in between, next covering the hind corners and fllling between, final ly building his off or nigh sideand fllling in the roiddle of the load, he will always know exactly the order in which to proceed in taking off his load with ease and rapidity. lt is said tuat order is heayen's first law, and it might be said with a good deal of prepriety Uiat it was first pro:, ulgated on the farm, for nowhere is order or disorder more apparent.
