On Tuesday was consumniated a marriage, the details of which are interesting, on account of the unusual circumstances that ccnionted a bond already existing. Sovoial years ago, Mr. John M. Moberly, a mature business man, and a person of sédate and methodical lifo, was smitten by the quiet charm3 and modest graees of Miss Mamio E. Coloman, then a mere girl with long cuils of beautiful brown hair. The friendship formed ripened into the deepest devotion, and Mr. Moberly soon occupied tho position of the favored suitor of Miss Ccleman Time rolled on, and the ardent regard of the youflg people might never havo proved other than Platonic, had not good fortune visited tht-m by means of the Louisiana Stato Lottory. In a playful mood, they agreed to inyest three dollars in three-iifths of a ticket, Miss Coleman paying one dollar, with tho expoctation of rteeiving one-third of the returns. Two wooks later Mr. Moberïy in whoso name the ticket was made, was startled at hts desk &t the Mercer National Bank by tho intelHgence that his ticket had drawn $15,000. Ho immediately went to New Orleans, secured the monoy, and, with a high sonso of honor, sent Miss Coloman her portion, f.5, 000. After two months longor of waiting, the devoted young peoplo detormined to in vest in a lotlery ticket agaic; tbis timo in the lottery of matrimony, in which we are fully persuaded they will both draw prizes . The marriage was celebrated Tuosday last al 12:80, the residence of the brido's father. Mr. H. E. Coloman, where a most suniptuous feast was served to the few frionds invited to at tend. The young couple left on the 1:25 train for Washington, where they will make their futuro home. Mr. Moberly will engage in the real estáte and claim business with his brother, Judge Wm. Moberly. The groom is an abio business man while the bride is an ' amiable and altractive lady, and they cainot fail to find succoss and many friends in their new bomo. -
