New Riehland, Minnesota, is in a fever of exciteinont over a doublé tragedy enacted there. Henry Young, a respectable youug man of the place, killed Mary Discher. Two shots were fired, etich tuking effect in her breast, and causing almost instunt death. Young then placed the muzzle of tho revolver in nis mouth and took his owu life. The young woman was IS years old and her murderer 24. For some time Young had been seekiug the hand of nis victim in uiarriage, but wasrepeatedly refused. Uu this last occasion he stated to her that he had come to ask her hand for the last time. Upon being refused he committed the murder and suicide without furthor parley. The girl's mother and sister were eye-witnesses to the tragedy.
