Greece has again been visited by an earthquake, which has been most disastrous in the Morea and in which the loss of life, according to the best Information, nuches the euormous figuro of 3UÜ. The village of Pyrgo and the town of Philatra both situated on the western ooast of tho Morea, were the chief sufferers, and these fnrui-.li. it is brlieved. all that have perished. In Pvrgo not n house is left standing, while PhUiarta is almost swept from tho face of the globe, swallowud up in the cojnvulssons f the earth. The sbocka were erperienced throughout the whoie of G rucee ín a greater oí less degreei In the town of Zante every house was damaged and the inhabitante Sed in terror to the open country. BeveraJ towne in Italy were also visited by the earthquake, but not to any serious extent. Nai!es, Brindisi, Foggia, Gaserta and Taranto being of the nuniber. Among the towns in Italy where the earthquake was telt are Syracuse, Reggio, Calabria, Potenza, Pozzuki, Haria and Aveeline. The people were panic stricken aïid took refuge in the fields and churches. Socond shocks occurred at Naples and Athens. Severe shocks were experienced the samo day at Alexandria and other places in Egypt, eutailing loss of life and great damage.
