Saturday's base ball game, Hiawathas 11, University 10. Base ball to-niorrow betweea the University and Agricultural college clubB, on the fair grounds. This year the alumni banquet will be ïeld in the chapel, and platea will be jrepared for 1,000 persons. The wrestling match Saturday, between vv . C. Malltjy and G. W. De Haven, was won by the former. President Angelí was in Lausing Saturday, and linld a conference witü Gov. Luce regurduirf university appropriafcions. Dr. A. G. Oven, of Petoskey, and Miss liittie Pehnington, of Macon, both university graduates, were married Saturday. Petoskey will be their home. The oratorio of "Ehjah," by the Ohoral Union, is to be given Wednesday eveaiiig preceding commencement week. [t will be under the direction of Prof. Cady. The men who are now atteniptiug to jreak up the department of medicine md surgery, would never have been .ïeard of except for tho university which ïas given them their reputation. Judge Walker has neiirly ünished his ariviite quizzes of the senior laws. Next week ho is going to quiz them for two days as a body on corporations and lartcerships. Ex-Congressnian Willard, of Battle 3reek, gave a reception last JTriday eyening to the central alumni association of the university, who held their second annual banquet in the above city. Gibson took the class pictures of the senior laws Monday morning, having jeen so unfortunate as to break the negative which he took last week. A lively scène was enacted, as some of the f resumen were bound to tigure in the group, but with cries of "put them out," they were forcbly vanquished. Prof. llutchins delivered his last lecture to the senior laws Monday. He told them there had been üfty thesis lianded him for acceptance, and he could trnthfully say never had they been of so good a (juaüty, owing, as he thought to ihe new régeme of quizzing. All were accepted aud very few criticisms madu on thetn.
