Lord Mayor Sullivan of Dublin, has been convicted of pub'.ishins in bis paper reports of suppressed branches of the National league, and sentenced to two months' imprisonment. United Ireland and other league papers are still freely circulatod. President Grevy' s resign itiun was preseuted to tl;e chamber of depuuea on the 2d inst. As soon as the resignation was made public, great excitement prevailed in Paris and serious rioting occurred. Troops were called out, and the mob flnally dispersed, thoucth not until several persons had been injnred. The London Post bas unearthed a plot to murdsr Lord Ilartinprton. Parnellites are credited with planning the murder and American Fenians were to do the job. The plan raiscarried. Twenty persons were killed by an earüiquake shock in Calabria, Italy, on the 3d inst. President Carnot, the new president of Franca, was formally installed on the 4th inst Everybody is satisfied witb the new president.
