Ladles' Charitable ünlon. The annuil meeting of tlio Ladiea Ch.iritablo Union was held on Thuriday Mirch lst, at Hobart Hall. After the usual opening exeiclses, the annual reporta of the gecretary and treasurer were read and approved. The society Uien proceeded to the e'iection of offlcers which resulted as follows : For President, Ms. C. M. Jayonx; Vice-President, Mrs. Phoebo Steele; Beorotary, Mrg. J. N. We come to the tvventieth anniversary of the organlzatlon ot the Ladies' Charitable Uuion with grateful hearts to the Kivor of all go od, for increased prosperty and unbroken numbers. The pasi year has been one of mucli severe illnes for many of the benoficaries of the society, and four deatlis have occurred. The numbor of families assisied is 45, vahu of second-haiid clotlilng dlstributed is BIÜ9.60, nuinber of visits made and re oeiveil is 263. The average attendance ai lie monthly meetings has been 14.
