The university club appeared in their new uniforma Saturday. A number of professors will spend the aummer vacation in Europe. Prof. M. L. D'Ooge lecturea in Ypsilanti next Wednesday evening. The denta defeated the medica at base ball, Satnrday morning, 7 to 4. The univeraity has met with a great losa in the death of Dr. Duuater. Papers will be read before the lophical society this eveniug in room 21. The f reshmen and sophomores will play i game of base ball ou the campus, tonorrow. Gen. Sberidan was listened to by a larga audience at university hall last Satïrday evaning. The senior medies have finally adopted ;he design for their invitations, and it is i very handsome one. The medical department was closed on Friday, Saturday and Alonday on acjount :jf the death of Dr. Dunster. The Athletics of Detroit defeated th university club by a score of 11 to 5 last Saturday afternoon. A large crowd was present but the home club playsd a very poor game, for thetn. The new Laoross club lected the following offioers : Prof. Alf. Hennequin, president; Jackson, medie, vice-prsident; Stover, dent, treasurer; Sabin, lit, secretary; Tisdale, lield oaptain. The mock oonvention will be held May 11. J. N. McBnde will bo the permanent ohairman, and Hlaiue's name will be presented in regular inanner the game as that of the other candidatos. The first annual banquet of the Chicugo alumni of the UDiversity of Michigan is to ba held at Lelnud's hotel, in tliut city, thi evening. Two lads stole a watoh in Ypsilanti yesterday, and were arrested while attempting to pawn it at McFall's. They are now in jail awaiting examination.
