Next Tnesday a meeting oí tlie var ious committees on work for the Woinan's Gymnasium will be held a Mrs. Carhart's residence ou Monroe st. for tlie ctwcnsaion of plans submitted by the regenta. The p an are for a com modious building prov'dintr not only a gymnasium with the necessary bath and dressing rooms, but parlors, committee rooms and a resting room ío the use of the college women. The in tention is to begin the building at once and complete it as far as the funri may permit. It is hoped that the people of Michigan will be wise and generous enough to see that there is no delay for lack of funds. A Michigan womau has ifcently given fif teen thousand dollars to buy a campus for the accommodation of the thirty-five women student at Keloit. Is there not some one ready to give twelve thousand dollars toward a gymnasium for the six hundred women iii the University of Michigau? Many of the wonnen students have been solicitiug subscriptions during this summer. As few have yet returned, little is known of their success - only $374 80 has come into the hands of Major Soule duriug the vacation.
