New Trial For Shaffer

Peoría, 111., June 23.- Judge Worthington this mornicg gr&nted a new trial to Simón Shaffer, the Chicago Democratie representative in the last legislature, who was found guilty laat month of attempted boodling. The grounds for a new trial are a detective indietment, the admission of lmproper evldence, etc. Shaffer's former bondsmen asked to be released, but he furnished a new bond for $2,000, which was accepted by the court. The case will be heard at the October term.
